Ingredients

  • 1 large sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons diced spam
  • 4 eggs, organic
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream

Toad-In-The-Hole Directions

    1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C).
    2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a clean counter and cut it into 4 equal squares.
    3. Place the pastry squares in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes until lightly puffed.
    4. Remove the squares and gently press the center with a spoon to create an indentation.
    5. Layer each square with 1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon diced spam.
    6. Crack one egg into the center of each pastry.
    7. Return to the air fryer and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the egg white is set but the yolk is still runny (or to your liking).
    8. Repeat with any remaining squares if needed.
    9. Serve immediately, drizzled with a tablespoon of heavy cream on each.

Notes

Chef's Tips: For a crispier base, pre-bake the pastry squares an extra 2 minutes before adding toppings. If you prefer a fully cooked yolk, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes. Substitute the spam with cooked bacon or ham for variety. Always let the pastry thaw completely to ensure even puffing.
